Veenoord/Nieuw-Amsterdam:
- Van Gogh House. Van Gogh lived and worked here during his time in Drenthe. www.vangogh-drenthe.nl 
 
Beilen:

Assen:
- In the Pastoral Center Hendrik van Boeijen-Oord in Assen are windows by Kees de Kort from 1994 about the Creation.

Anloo:
- Oldest church of Drenthe, around 1100. Special sarcophagi and murals.
 
Zuidlaren:
- 13th-century church with rich carved furniture.
 
Noordlaren:

Ter Apel:

Winschoten:
- In the Marktpleinkerk of Winschoten hang 15 works - biblical scenes - by Jannes de Vries (De Ploeg). In July and August the church is open to visitors.
 
Eelde:

Groningen:
- Volkenkundig Museum Gerardus van der Leeuw in Groningen (belongs to the Faculty of theology and religious studies of the University of Groningen). Exhibitions.

Workum:

Heerenveen:
- Museum Belvédère is the prime museum of modern and contemporary art in Friesland. The museum shows 20th-century and contemporary visual art from Friesland in direct relationship to visual art from the Netherlands and Flanders. www.museumbelvedere.nl
 
Hemelum:
- Russian Orthodox convent of Holy St. Nicolas, Buorren 18, Himmelum/Hemelum. With services and tours. The icons can be viewed after services and on appointment. www.kloosterhemelum.nl
 
Bolsward:

Drachten:

- Summer exposition as part of Tsjerkepaad (church tour) in the Mariakerk.
 
Leeuwarden:
- Princessehof with porcelain, stoneware and earthenware from all over the world. www.princessehof.nl
- Fries Museum. With around 170.000 objects the Fries Museum is the largest provincial museum from the Netherlands. It combines art, culture and history. High points from the Frisian culture and the modern and contemporary Dutch art. www.friesmuseum.nl

Dokkum:
- Expositions in the Grote- of Sint Martinuskerk, Markt 2, Dokkum. The church is open to the public on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Gallery Jan Kooistra, Diepswal 3, Dokkum. Fri: 14.00 - 17.00 and 19.00 tot 21.00, Sa: 14.00 - 17.00.
