- Dommuseum Stephansdom, founded in 1933, is considered to be one of best museums of Vienna. Covers 1000 years of Christian art, from the Stephansdom and the rest of Austria. Paintings, sculptures, windows, reliquaries, and gold and silver objects. Due to the collector’s work of Monsignore Otto Mauer (1907 – 1973) the 20th century is also well represented. -Treasury of the German Order (order of crusaders). This treasury, close to the Stephansdom, is one of the oldest art collections in Vienna. From Gothic art to the 20th century. Also coins and weapons.
- Ernst Fuchs Museum. In 1972 the catholic Austrian artist Ernst Fuchs, acquired the derelict Otto Wagner Villa in Hütteldorf (Vienna), which he restored and transformed. The villa was inaugurated as the in 1988.

The Open Air Bruegelmuseum Dilbeek shows 12 reproductions of Bruegel paintings, placed along a signposted walking path starting at the church of Sint-Anna-Pede (Herdebeekstraat, Dilbeek). These reproductions are larger than the originals: the finest details become well visible. Ghent:
- Saint Bavo Cathedral and The Ghent Altarpiece or Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, completed 1432. The Ghent Altarpiece by Jan van Eyck is a very large and complex Early Netherlandish polyptych panel painting which was once in the Joost Vijdt chapel at Saint Bavo Cathedral, but was later moved for security reasons to the chapel of the cathedral.

BULGARIA
 
The Bulgarian province Macedonia:
- The convent of Rila, which lies 1147 meters high. With its 500 cells for monks and 1000 rooms for pelgrims this is the largest convent of the Balkan peninsula. The convent was founded in the 9th century by Ivan Rilski. The walls of the church are covered with beautiful murals.
- Close to the border with Greece: the Rozjen convent with its murals with the famous staircase of Johannes Klimakos.
 
Sophia:
- The Alexander Nevski Cathedral. The choir of this cathedral is very famous. In the old crypt you can see a great collection of icons.

Brno:

- Jens Nielsen og Olivia Holm-Møller Museet Holsterbro: museum with works by Jens Nielsen (1891-1978) and Olivia Holm-Møller. With changing exhibitions.
 
Lemvig:
- The Museum for religious art. The roots for a Museum of Religious Art in Lemvig were planted when Bodil Kaalund made her decoration of Lemvig Church in 1976-81. The artist's cooperation with the local population led to many conversations about the being of art and about art's relation to the church and to religion. The Museum in Lemvig sees it as its object to show how the religious dimension finds expression in today's art. Cookham (40 miles west of London, close to Maidenhead):
- Stanley Spencer Gallery. Spencer (1891–1959) was born and lived in the Thames-side village of Cookham in Berkshire. The Methodist Chapel in Cookham, which he attended, is now the Stanley Spencer Gallery, a gallery dedicated to his art. Many of his works depict villagers and village life and his religious paintings often had Cookham as their backdrop. ESTONIA
 
Tallinn:
- Niguliste Museum, Niguliste 3, Tallinn. Housed in the St. Nicholas Church, the museum is dedicated to church art. Here you will find medieval gravestones, unique altars and Tallinn’s most famous work of art: a fragment of Bernt Notke’s painting The Dance of Death. In addition, a silver chamber with the silverware that belonged to the guilds and church is opened to the public in the vestry.
- Dominican Monastery Museum, Venetn 16, Tallinn. The Dominican Monastery is an architectural monument that is unique in Northern Europe. The monastery was founded by Dominican monks in 1246. In the interior courtyard visitors can see the hewn stones displayed in processions, representing the art of the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods.

Espoo:
- Oili Mäki Museum Gallery, Äyräpääntie 14, Laajalahti, FI-02140 Espoo. Oili Mäki's museum foundation. The museum exhibits Oili Mäki's works from her 30-year career as an artist: tapestries, altarpieces, paintings and rya rugs. The museum has one of the most extensive collections of Christian art in Finland.
 
 
FRANCE
 
Arles:
- The Museum of Christian Art (Musée d'Art Chrétien) lies just northwest of the Museum of Pagan Art on Rue Balze in Arles. Housed in the chapel of a former Jesuit college (built 1652), the museum contains one of the most important collections of early Christian sarcophagi. Mostly dating from the 4th century AD, the sarcophagi are decorated with scenes from the Old and New Testaments.
 
Autun:
Musée Rolin in Autun displays a variety of interesting religious artworks, both ancient Roman and medieval. It is located next to the cathedral in a Renaissance hotel built by Nicholas Rolin, chancellor of Philippe le Bon. The collections of the Musée Rolin include several interesting Gallo-Roman artifacts, but the star attraction is a carving rescued from the north door of Autun Cathedral known as the Temptation of Eve. Carved by the sculptor Gislebertus at the same time as his magnificent tympanum, it is a huge work and a notably sensuous depiction of Eve. Also notable is the brilliantly coloured Nativity painting by the Maître de Moulins and a lovely painted sculpture of the Virgin of Autun.

- In het Centre d’Art Sacré Contemporain, Place Gilleson (in the modern crypt of the cathedral Notre-Dame de la Treille), the 130 works of the collection of Gilbert Delaine called La Passion de Dunkerque are exhibited in alternating exhibitions. - Emanuel Vigeland Museum at Slemdal is one of Oslo's best kept secrets. The museum's main attraction is a dark, barrel-vaulted room, completely covered with fresco paintings. Emanuel Vigeland (1875-1948), Gustav Vigeland's younger brother, erected the building in 1926, intended as a museum for his sculptures and paintings. - Museu de Arte Sacra: The Museum of Sacred Art occupies an old bishop's house in the center of town. Many of its exhibitions came from island churches, some of which are no longer standing. Its most interesting collections are a series of paintings from the Portuguese and Flemish schools of the 15th and 16th centuries. The paintings are on wood (often oak); an outstanding example is the 1518 Adoration of the Magi. A rich merchant commissioned it and paid for it with sugar. A triptych depicts St. Philip and St. James, and there's an exceptional painting called Descent from the Cross. Cusco:
- The Museum of Religious Art (Museo de Arte Religioso) is housed in a handsome colonial palace that previously belonged to the Archbishop of Cusco. Before that, it was the site of the palace of Inca Roca and then the home of a Spanish marquis. Inside is a nice collection of colonial religious paintings, notable for the historical detail they convey. There are important pieces of Juan Zapata and other masters of the Andean painting, a collection of pieces from the Academy of Cusco and examples of colonial furniture.

- Xavier Museum. The Xavier Centre of Historical Research (XCHR) located in Alto Porvorim, not far from the Capital City of Panjim, showcases in its Xavier Museum an assembly of religious artefacts selected for symbolic expressiveness and artistic beauty. The 'Indo-Portuguese Christian Art' Section of the exhibit displays statues of ivory and of wood, monochrome and polychrome painted, and oil paintings dating from the mid 18th Century. Goa:
- Museum of Christian Art. The gallery exhibits wooden statues of various Christian Saints and others including Pieta. There are portraits of Portuguese Governors and prime Minister. It also includes some rare paintings on wood, metal and canvas. some furniture pieces like a carved table and chair of the Portuguese Governor general, a sofa set with ivory inlay work, chest of drawers and few chairs of western style are among the exhibits.
