William R. Cross is the chairman of the Advisory Board of the Yale Center for Faith and Culture. He is also under contract for the first-ever biography of the impresario Louis Tiffany (1848-1933), whose firms created mosaics, stained glass and other works which were among the high points of decorative arts in the Gilded Age. Cross is the author of Winslow Homer: American Passage, a biography released by Farrar, Straus & Giroux in April 2022.
