The Christ Hymn by Alana Levandoski (based on poems by Malcolm Guite, Scott Cairns, Joel McKerrow and Luci Shaw), combined with paintings by Julie Ann Stevens.

The Christ Hymn by Alana Levandoski with the words of the poems by Malcolm Guite, Scott Cairns, Joel McKerrow and Luci Shaw.

Alana Levandoski is a songwriter and recording artist. In 2010, after ten years of touring internationally, signing to prominent record labels and professional songwriting, with considerable promise of “making it”, she decided to take a sabbatical, not knowing if she would ever return.  Six years later, she now has a family and lives in Alberta in a little cabin that she and her husband built together by a lake. After attending and graduating from the Living School for Action and Contemplation, Alana has recently experienced a rebirth as an artist, finally opening to a way of integrating her spirituality, her craftsmanship and her lifestyle.  Abiding by a monastic rule inspired by her time living with the Benedictines, Alana and her husband Ian have committed to a life of minimalism and sacred simplicity. Describing her recent album, Behold, I Make all Things New as a “Christ Narrative”, Levandoski has returned with an integrated work that will appeal to music fans, appreciators of Jesus, and Christians alike. Alana has released a new album on September 17th, 2016.  The album is a series of chants and compositions with spoken word in collaboration with contemplative teacher and clinical psychologist James Finley (author of Merton’s Palace of Nowhere). It is called Sanctuary ~ Exploring the Healing Path with Alana Levandoski and James Finley. https://alanalevandoski.com
